Marloes Coenen gets a new opponent.

Miesha Tate has been forced out of the female 135-pound title bout with Marloes Coenen at “Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson” due to a knee injury suffered in training. Undefeated Liz Carmouche now faces Coenen for the title.

Carmouche is 5-0 and has fought under the Strikeforce banner twice, defeating Valentina Shevchenko and Jan Finney by technical knockouts.

Coenen won the title by submitting former champion Sarah Kaufman last October. The match up with Carmouche will be the Dutch fighter’s first title defense.

The woman’s title bout is the co-main event of “Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson,” which takes place in Columbus, Ohio on March 5 at the Nationwide Arena.  The event is headlined by the light heavyweight title fight between Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante and Dan Henderson.
