Edgar/Maynard, Four Other Bouts Official For UFC 130

UFC announces bouts, ticket prices for next Las Vegas event

The third time’s the charm for Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

Eight rounds of action – including five championship rounds – have not been enough to determine the better man in the rivalry between the UFC’s two top lightweights, so they’re going to do it one more time.

“The last time Gray and Frankie fought, they put on one of the best fights of the year,” UFC President Dana White said. “It was the draw no one really complained about. I think a lot of people saw in that fight that Frankie Edgar is the real deal. This is the third and last time these two will come together and the stakes have never been higher.”

The UFC officially announced “UFC 130: Edgar vs. Maynard 3” today and made official the four remaining main card bouts. The event takes place May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The four remaining main card bouts announced by the promotion include: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt Hamill, Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson, Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne and Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago.

Tickets for the event range from $75 to $800. They go on sale next Saturday, March 19, at all Ticketmaster locations. A pre-sale for Fight Club members will be announced shortly.
