BRIAN BOWLES VS. DAMACIO PAGE

Round 1:  Bowles with a jab to start.  Page lands a high kick and attempts a flying knee.  They have a wild exchange.  Page with a leg kick.  Bowles lands a right hand.  Page lands a leg kick and Bowles counters with a right hand.  Page is the one moving forward.  Bowles lands a punch and Page responds with a knee.  Jab by Bowles who then goes to the body and back to the head.  Page mises a huge right hand.  Page gets clipped and Bowles pounces on him and applies a guillotine choke that puts page to sleep.  Oddly enough, that’s exactly the same time and mode of victory Bowles beat Page before.

ALESSIO SAKARA VS. CHRIS WEIDMAN

Round 1:  Weidman misses with a kick to the body and a looping left hook.  Both fighters being careful.  Sakara lands a leg kick and Weidman answers with one.  Weidman presses forward missing with a high kick.  Right hand by Weidman finds its mark.  Sakara with a combination that finished with a leg kick.  Weidman works to get a single leg takedown, but Sakara fends it off.  Sakara is bleeding above his right eye.  Right hand by Sakara.  Weidman lands a leg kick and follows up the a 1-2 combination.  Sakara fires off a high kick that is blocked.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Weidman.

Round 2:  Weidman quickly gets a takedown and ends up inside Sakara’s guard.  Right hand and an elbow by Weidman.  He stands and delivers a well-placed right hand to Sakara’s head.  Sakara is bleeding badly.  Weidman advances to side control and lands a few short left hands.  Half way through the round and Skara reverses him and gets to his feet.  Weidman quickly takes him down, but Sakara immediately gets back up.  The referee separates them and asks for Sakara’s cut to be checked.  Sakara is ready to go and the fight is restarted.  Weidman lands a combination.  Sakara misses with a right hand.  Hook to the body by Sakara sends Weidman backing up.  Sakara with a combination to the body.  The round ends.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Weidman.

Round 3:  Left jab by Weidman to start the round.  Sakara continues to work the body with devastating hooks.  Weidman shoots in for a double leg and gets the takedown and lands in side control.  Weidman is landing short elbows .  Sakara gets back to half guard and is punching off his back.  Weidman lands two solid punches.  The referee stands them up while Weidman was in side control.  Weidman goes for a double leg, driving Sakara to the fence.  He works more ground and pound.  With 30 seconds left, Sakara gets back up only to be taken down again.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Weidman.

C.B. DOLLAWAY VS. MARK MUNOZ

Round 1:  They touch gloves and it’s started.  Munoz looked as if he was going to try to knee Dollaway and Dollaway takes him down.  Dollaway misses wtih a shot to the body.  Munoz lands a big right hand that hurts Dollaway.  He drops him with a follow up left hand.  Munoz swoops in for the finish and the referee stops the fight.

Mark Munoz defeated C.B. Dollaway by TKO (strikes) at :54 of round 1.

MARTIN KAMPMANN VS. DIEGO SANCHEZ

Round 1:  They take the center of the Octagon.  Kampmann with a jab to start.  Diego lands a shot to the body.  Kampmann moves in and completes a combination.  Diego shoots for a takedown, driving Kampmann to the fence.  Kampmann shakes it off and delivers a knee.  Diego comes in with a right hand and gets knocked down by Kampmann.  Sanchez quickly grabs a leg.  They separate.  Sanchez clinches and Kampmann lands a knee to his chest.  Kampmann lands a straight right.  Sanchez is bleeding from his mouth.  Another right hand by Kampmann.  Sanchez lands a left hand.  Kampmann’s punches are showing on Sanchez’ face.  Sanchez attempts another takedown and Kampmann defends.  Sanchez leaps in with a right hand and eats a counter shot.  The round ends.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Kampmann.

Round 2:  Sanchez comes out bobbing and weaving before trying to get the fight to the ground.  Kampmann defends again and it looks like Sanchez isn’t going to have a choice but to stand with Kampmann.  Kampmann misses with a high kick and Sanchez clinches and works hard for a takedown.  Again, he does not get it.  Sanchez shoots again, but Kampmann’s takedown defense is too good.  Sanchez moves forward, pressing Kampmann against the fence and flurries on him.  The two exchange.  Sanchez gets through with a shot.  Kampmann is bleeding below his right eye.  Sanchez misses with a high kick.  Kampmann lands a combination.  Sanchez pushes forward and walks into a 1-2 combination.  Sanchez shoots from way outside.  Kampmann stuff it and the two exchange wildly along the cage with the crowd going bananas.  The round ends.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Kampmann.

Round 3:  Kampmann comes out in the third putting his jab in Sanchez’ face.  Sanchez runs forward throwing punches and Kampmann backs up and lands a right hand.  Sanchez tries to get it to the ground, Kampmann stuffs it and lands a knee as they separate.  Sanchez lands a right hand to Kampmann’s jaw.  Sanchez gets another takedown stuffed.  Sanchez willing to stand in the pocket and wing punches.  With 2:15 showing on the clock, Sanchez finally gets the fight to the ground.  15 seconds later, Kampmann is back to his feet.  Sanchez flurries and lands a combination.  Sanchez pushes him against the cage and unleashes punches.  Kampmann not hurt, delivers a knee.  Sanchez’ face is a bloody mess.  His left eye is bleeding badly.  The round ends.  Heavy.com scores the round 10-9 for Sanchez.  They left it in the hands of the judges.
