Kampmann, Sanchez suspended indefinitely
“UFC on Versus 3” main event fighters Martin Kampmann and Diego Sanchez have been suspended indefinitely following their bout last Thursday in Louisville, Kentucky.
MMAjunkie.com learned from the KBWA that the commission remains in waiting for the follow-up results.
According to the report, Sanchez must be cleared by a surgeon due to an injury to his left orbital bone, while Kampmann’s stated via Twitter that a doctor checked his right hand and revealed that it was not broken in the fight.
Also suspended, C.B. Dollaway, Todd Brown, and Thiago Tavares will be out of action for 60 days.
The Versus broadcast featured Sanchez’s unanimous decision victory over Kampmann in the headliner, along with Mark Munoz‘s knockout victory over the aforementioned Dollaway in the evening’s co-main event. The card was the promotion’s first ever in the state of Kentucky.
