Rory Markham signs with Bellator
UFC veteran Rory Markham has signed with Bellator Fighting Championships.
MMADieHards.com reported the news after speaking with the welterweight’s manager, Monte Cox.
Markham, who fought a total of three times in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, failed to live up to expectations. He earned a vicious knockout victory in his first fight with the promotion, but was then knocked out on consecutive occasions by Dan Hardy and Nate Diaz. His loss to the Stockton, California fighter triggered his release from the UFC roster.
Since being cut, the former IFL star has yet to compete inside the cage. According to MMADiehards.com, he is expected to return to action sometime in May or June now that he has completed filming for several movies he has been involved with, including “Fast and Furious 5.”
