UFC Canada director of operations says Montreal to host UFC 140
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has a date and city in mind for UFC 140.
According to UFC Canada director of operations Tom Wright, the event will likely take place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 10 at the Bell Centre.
Wright revealed the news to “Ringside Report Radio” earlier on Thursday.
There have yet to be any fights announced for the event, and today’s news is the first mention by a UFC official related to the December event. The promotion last held an event at the Bell Centre in December of last year, when Canadian superstar and welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre boxed his way to victory against rival Josh Koscheck.
St. Pierre could once again be featured in Montreal – a welterweight superfight with Nick Diaz has been mentioned as a possibility for the event.
