Tibau replaces McKenzie, meets Palaszewski at UFC 130
Cody McKenzie has withdrawn from his bout against Bart Palaszewski at UFC 130, and Gleison Tibau has taken his place.
UFC officials announced the news recently.
Palaszewski last competed at WEC 53 and was defeated in his last bout with the promotion by Kamal Shalorus. Prior to the loss, he was on a four-fight winning streak, including a split-decision victory over Anthony Pettis at WEC 45.
Meanwhile, Tibau enters this contest following a big victory against Kurt Pellegrino at UFC 128 and looks to pick up his second win in just over two months time. He is 3-1 in his last four contests with the lone loss during that stretch coming against contender Jim Miller.
UFC 130 is set for May 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada and features a the final bout of the lightweight trilogy between champion Frankie Edgar and top contender Gray Maynard. In the co-main event, former light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson meets Matt Hamill.
