Pyle meets MacDonald at UFC 133
A welterweight match up between Rory MacDonald and Mike Pyle is official for UFC 133 in Philadelphia.
UFC officials made the announcement earlier today.
MacDonald is coming off a dominant unanimous decision victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 129, which was a successful rebound after losing to Carlos Condit at UFC 115. The fast-rising prospect is 2-1 in the UFC following an undefeated 9-0 career prior to joining the Zuffa roster.
Looking to stop the top prospect, Pyle looks to build upon a three-fight winning streak that began with his submission victory over Jesse Lennox at UFC 115 in June of 2010. He followed the victory with unanimous decision wins over John Hathaway and Ricardo Almeida at UFC 120 and UFC 125, respectively.
UFC 133 is set for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 6 and features a light heavyweight bout between Phil Davis and Rashad Evans. A featherweight title bout between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes is also expected to make the card.
