Barnett licensed to fight
Josh Barnett is good to go after receiving his fighters license Tuesday in “The Lone Star State.”
MMAFighting.com reported yesterday that the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations gave the heavyweight the nod earlier on Tuesday.
After insisting that his lack of licensing in the state with the event fast approaching was not anything to worry about, Barnett has been proven correct. The heavyweight contender also went to Twitter to announce what he had already predicted today.
Barnett, whose licensing issues have been prominent in throughout the past year, is competing in the ongoing Strikeforce grand prix. The former UFC champion fights at “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum” this weekend in Dallas against former top contender Brett Rogers.
