Five-fight main card set for “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson”
Two more bouts have been made official for “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson,” as Paul Daley vs. Tyron Woodley and Scott Smith vs. Tarec Saffiedine are now set in stone.
Strikeforce officials announced the bouts earlier today.
Daley, one of the best knockout artists in the game today, was originally expected to meet Evangelista Santos, but an injury forced “Cyborg” out. He last fought in a welterweight championship against Nick Diaz, but was defeated by technical knockout. Meanwhile, Woodley looks to continue his incredible rise with a win over the biggest challenge of his career so far. He is currently 8-0 as a professional and knocking on the door for title contention.
In the other bout, Smith looks for redemption after a brutal knockout loss to the aforementioned Daley late last year, but he is not the only one looking to get back on the right track. Saffiedine, like his upcoming opponent, is also coming off a loss, which came against the aforementioned Woodley recently.
The July 30 event is set for Showtime and takes place in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The show will feature a catchweight bout between MMA legends Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko.
