Foster cleared to fight

Brian Foster has been cleared to return to competition and training in mixed martial arts.

The UFC welterweight confirmed the news via Twitter today.

“I feel great,” Foster wrote. “It’s time for me to truly show the UFC and the rest of the world that I am a complete fighter. I’m happy to be back!”

Foster was supposed to fight at UFC 129 against Sean Pierson, but a brain hemorrhage forced him out of the fight and temporarily put his career on hold. He last fought against Matt Brown at UFC 123, earning a submission victory. The win was the third of his UFC career and his second in a row.

The promotion has yet to announce when Foster will fight next.
