Diaz back on UFC 137 card, faces Penn in co-main event
UFC President Dana White always says he gives the fans what they want, even when it doesn’t seem to make much sense.
Don’t believe him? You should. White’s claims claimed further merit on Thursday afternoon when he announced that Nick Diaz would replace Carlos Condit and face B.J. Penn in the c0-main event of UFC 137.
White revealed the fight via his Twitter account.
“This is crazy but here we go again! You wanted it so you got it. Penn vs Diaz Oct 29th in Vegas.”
Diaz was removed from the main event of the same show on Wednesday after repeatedly no-showing scheduled press engagements to promote the fight. He was replaced by Condit, who moved into the main event to face Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title.
