Guillard, Miller on weight for main event
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – All 20 fighters for Friday’s UFC on FX card in Nashville, Tenn., successfully made weight Thursday.
The official weigh-in event for UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller took place at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, site of Thursday’s card. Only preliminary card lightweight Fabricio Camoes missed weight in his initial attempt. But UFC officials confirmed to HeavyMMA that he successfully made 156 pounds within the two hours he was given following the weigh-ins.
Main-even lightweight contenders Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller each made their marks, though Guillard needed the towel brought out to remove his trunks in order to make 156. Miller weighed in at 155. And co-main event welterweights Duane Ludwig (170.5) and Josh Neer (171) each were on the mark.
The only heavyweights on the card, Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft, who open up the main card on FX, clowned with each other after their face-off. Morecraft weighed 256 pounds in his blue jeans; Barry was 242.
