Jorgensen, Wineland suspended 60 days
Seven fighters who competed in last Friday evening’s “UFC on FX 3” have been issued medical suspensions, according to MMAjunkie.com.
The list includes Matt Grice, who was given an indefinite suspension due to a broken foot, and Josh Neer, who was given a 60-day suspension due to a knockout loss.
Also on the list, Scott Jorgensen and Eddie Wineland each were handed 60-day suspensions. Jorgensen lost to Wineland via knockout, but not before giving Wineland what Dana White called one of the worst cuts in the history of the promotion.
The last three fighters suspended are Lance Benoist (45 days), Sean Pierson (45 days), and Justin Salas (30 days).
The complete list of suspensions and reasons behind them can be found below:
Matt Grice: Indefinite suspension, must be cleared by orthopedic surgeon for potentially fractured foot.
Josh Neer: 60 day suspension for precautionary reasons following knockout
Scott Jorgensen: 60 day suspension for possible concussion
Eddie Wineland: 60 day suspension due to forehead laceration
Lance Benoist: 45 day suspension due to lacerations above and below right eye
Sean Pierson: 45 day suspension due to scalp laceration
