Lashley targeted for WSOF 1
The World Series of Fighting announced today that the promotion and NBC have reached a deal, and the new guys on the MMA scene in Las Vegas are bringing star power with them.
While Miguel Torres will headline the first event on November 3, the card will also feature heavyweight Bobby Lashley.
Lashley is of course famous for his background in professional wrestling, becoming a popular figure in the sport. He has since gone on to fight professionally in mixed martial arts, looking to follow a path similar to that of Brock Lesnar.
Beginning his MMA career with five straight victories, including a technical knockout win over Wes Sims under the Strikeforce banner, Lashley has gone 2-2 in his last four.
He last competed this past May, losing a unanimous decision to James Thompson at “Super Fight League 3.”
