Matyushenko injured, Hollett vs. Hamill official for UFC 152

An injury has forced Vladimir Matyushenko out of his UFC 152 fight against Matt Hamill.

In his place, Roger Hollett will step in to meet “The Ultimate Fighter” veteran.

Matyushenko was forced out due to a torn Achille’s tendon, and UFC officials announced the change on Tuesday.

Hollett was originally scheduled to meet Hamill at the event, but was forced out of the contest, though the reason was never revealed. Prior to his move to the UFC, Hollett was set to compete in Bellator’s upcoming light heavyweight tournament.

Meanwhile, Hamill returns from retirement after walking away from the sport following a loss to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson a year ago.

UFC 152 takes place on September 22 in Toronto. The card is headlined by a light heavyweight championship fight between title-holder Jon Jones and top contender Vitor Belfort.
