UFC expected to return to Brazil in early 2013
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is heading back to Brazil sooner rather than later.
The promotion is working towards a return in early 2013, according to MMAjunkie.com.
January 19 is the date the Ultimate Fighting Championship is targeting at this point, though a city has not yet been named. The event, which is expected for pay-per-view, will likely be UFC 156, the first event of the New Year.
The last trip to Brazil took place earlier in October with UFC 153, featuring Anderson Silva‘s first round technical knockout win over Stephan Bonnar.
The next trip will likely feature another Brazilian standout. An early report from No Mundo Das Lutas stated that featherweight champion Jose Aldo and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will meet at the event.
However, at this point in time, that is merely a report, and the promotion has not hinted at the fight taking place at the event.
