The greatest Monty Python movie that Monty Python didn’t make, A Fish Called Wanda was an instant comedy classic upon its release in 1988 — a funny, clever, sexy caper that made stars out of Kevin Kline and Jamie Lee Curtis‘ cleavage (if they weren’t already stars before). Kline, Curtis, John Cleese and Michael Palin make for a great team in this story of a con job and robbery that goes all sorts of not so much wrong as kind of sideways and zig-zaggy. Yeah, stuttering really isn’t a laughing matter… but it kind of is when Kline is making fun of Palin for it. The four would reunite nine years later for something called Fierce Creatures… and the less that’s said about that, the better.
