Murray closed Thursday's 128-111 loss to Houston with 17 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 27 minutes. Murray couldn't repeat the impressive stat line from Sunday's loss to the Nuggets, during which he ended with 17 points, 15 assists, eight rebounds and six steals. However, he did an excellent job filling the stat sheet while scoring in double digits for the ninth time in a row. Over that nine-game stretch, Murray is averaging 18.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.2 steals per tilt.

Scores 17 points in loss
Monster stat line Sunday
Murray accumulated 17 points (7-24 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, 15 assists, one block and six steals over 44 minutes during Sunday's 132-129 overtime loss to the Nuggets. Several Pelicans delivered impressive stat lines in this overtime loss, but Murray's certainly stood out, mainly due to the six steals and 15 assists. Fantasy managers will gladly live with the 7-for-24 shooting line if Murray continues to rack up stats left and right in future contests. Murray has scored in double digits in each of his last eight games, averaging 18.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 2.1 steals per appearance in that span.
Teases triple-double in loss
Murray accumulated 14 points (5-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 104-93 loss to the Knicks. The veteran point guard nearly produced his first triple-double of the season and the 20th of his career, but he had to settle for tying his season high in boards. Murray is still struggling to get comfortable in the Pelicans' offense, and over 11 games since returning from hand surgery, he's averaging 16.4 points, 6.7 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.7 threes while shooting 37.4 percent from the floor and 30.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Drops 19 against Indiana
Murray notched 19 points (8-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 119-104 loss to the Pacers. The veteran point guard appears to have found his rhythm after missing about a month with a fractured left hand. Murray has scored at least 17 points in five straight games, averaging 20.0 points, 7.0 assists, 6.8 boards, 2.0 threes and 1.8 steals over that stretch, and his usage figures to remain high while Brandon Ingram (ankle), Jose Alvarado (hamstring) and Jordan Hawkins (back) are all missing from the Pelicans' backcourt.
Fills stat sheet Thursday
Murray contributed 20 points (8-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists, two blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 111-109 loss to the Kings. CJ McCollum led the way offensively for the Pelicans, but there's no question Murray had an impressive showing from a fantasy perspective as well. He finished just one assist and three rebounds away from a triple-double. Murray has surpassed the 15-point mark in five of his last seven contests, a span in which he's averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game. His fantasy upside should continue to trend in the right direction since the Pelicans are without two key contributors in Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Zion Williamson (hamstring).
Logs second double-double of season
Murray registered 18 points (6-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists and two blocks in 34 minutes during Sunday's 121-116 loss to the Spurs. Murray's numbers have been decent since his extended absence, averaging 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.6 blocked shots over the past seven games. He's coming alive at a convenient time, as Brandon Ingram's (ankle) absence will leave a gaping hole on a roster that's already snake-bit with injuries. If Murray and CJ McCollum can maintain a healthy backcourt, the Pelicans may have a chance to get back into contention before the season gets out of hand.
Stuffs stat sheet in loss Saturday
Murray totaled 26 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 7-10 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and four steals over 36 minutes during Saturday's 119-109 loss to the Thunder. Murray was the leading scorer for the Pelicans in this contest, but he did more than score the rock, as he also led the team in rebounds and steals. The floor general suffered a fractured hand in the first game of the season and was sidelined until Nov. 27, but he's been putting up solid numbers since returning to the hardwood. He's scored over 15 points in three of his previous five appearances, a span in which he's averaging 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.0 steals per contest.
Struggles with shot
Murray totaled seven points (2-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists, one block and five steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 124-112 loss to the Hawks. Murray made up for his poor shooting with a beefy stat line, as he recorded his 11th career game with at least five steals. Since returning to the lineup on Nov. 27, the Pelicans have lost all four games with Murray, and the point guard has averaged 13.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.5 three-pointers on 27.3 percent shooting from the field in that span.
Mixed results in loss
Murray had 10 points (5-17 FG, 0-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals over 30 minutes during Sunday's 118-85 loss to the Knicks. Murray is still searching for a groove in New Orleans after missing a month of action due to a fractured hand, continuing to struggle with shooting the ball, but he did contribute eight boards, five dimes and three swipes in Sunday's blowout loss to the Knicks. The 28-year-old star guard is averaging 14.8 points, 1.3 three-pointers and 3.5 turnovers while shooting just 30.3 percent from the field through four games overall this season, but he's also providing 6.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.8 steals per contest to help mitigate the efficiency woes for fantasy managers. Murray will look to break out of his slump against his former club in Atlanta in Monday's matchup with the Hawks, a team that's allowing the third-most points per game (119.4) in the NBA this season.
