Paul closed with 12 points (4-4 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists, one block and four steals across 32 minutes during Thursday's 133-126 overtime win over the Hawks. The 39-year-old point guard didn't supply a lot of offense, but he didn't need to with Victor Wembanyama going off for 42 points. Paul still scored in double digits for the first time in four games though, and his four steals were a season high. The future Hall of Famer has provided exactly the experience and leadership a young Spurs roster needed, and Paul has recorded at least one steal in 10 straight games, averaging 8.0 points, 8.1 assists, 4.6 boards, 1.9 steals and 1.4 threes over that stretch.

Season-high four pilfers in win
Held scoreless in loss
Paul logged zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 loss to the Timberwolves. Paul was held without a single point for the first time this season. He's been ice-cold lately, scoring a combined 11 points in his last three outings. He's been productive elsewhere, however, averaging 9.0 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in seven December outings.
Reaches No. 2 in all-time assists
Paul notched six points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Sunday's 121-116 victory over the Pelicans. Paul's 10 assists moved him to No. 2 in all-time assists (12,099), placing him above Jason Kidd (12,091) and only behind John Stockton (15,806). Paul is on a particularly good stretch of passing lately, dropping at least eight dimes in five straight games and averaging 10.0 assists during this run. The future Hall-of-Famer is having a bounceback season with the Spurs following his one-year stint with the Warriors.
Dishes nine dimes Thursday
Paul racked up 12 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Thursday's 139-124 loss to the Bulls. Paul once again led the Spurs in assists Thursday, and he was one dime shy from registering his ninth double-double of the season. He hasn't scored 20 points or more in a game this season, though he isn't expected to carry the scoring load at this stage of his career. Paul is averaging 10.4 points, 8.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 28.8 minutes per game this season.
Records double-double
Paul notched 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Sunday's 127-125 win over Sacramento. Paul didn't have his best shooting performance Sunday, but Victor Wembanyama and Julian Champagnie carried the team on that end of the floor. Paul, thus, did what he does best at this stage of his career, finishing with 10 assists and only two turnovers. He's posted 37 assists and only four turnovers over his last five appearances while also averaging 10.8 points per game in that stretch.
Hands out 10 assists
Paul closed with 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Thursday's 126-118 win over the Jazz. Paul endured a relatively slow start to the season, but he's been excellent in recent weeks, thriving as a playmaker but also delivering decent scoring numbers when called upon. The veteran floor general has dished out 10 or more assists in five of his last six appearances while notching four double-doubles in that span. Despite being one of the oldest players in the NBA, Paul continues to thrive as a playmaking presence. He's recorded eight games with at least 10 assists in 16 contests this season.
Good to go against Utah
Paul (thumb) is available for Thursday's game versus the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports. Paul has been upgraded from probable to available Thursday despite dealing with a left thumb sprain. Across his last five appearances, Paul is averaging 11.4 points, 9.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 28.8 minutes.
Dealing with sprained thumb
Paul is questionable for Thursday's game against Utah due to a left thumb sprain. Paul popped up on Wednesday evening's injury report after logging 31 minutes without an injury designation in Tuesday's win over Oklahoma City. His status will need to be monitored with Victor Wembanyama (knee) and Devin Vassell (knee) already ruled out for Thursday. Paul has yet to miss a game this season.
Seals up double-double in win
Paul had 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds and 11 assists over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 110-104 win over the Thunder. As expected, the dimes keep dropping for Paul. He's recorded double-digit assist totals in seven of 15 games and ranks sixth in the league with 117 assists. Paul's three-point shot was also on fire in the win, matching a season high with seven attempts from deep.
