Jordan (rest) scored six points (2-3 FG, 2-6 3Pt) while adding nine rebounds and an assist across 17 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 124-94 preseason loss to the Thunder. Jordan returned to the hardwood after not playing in Denver's previous two preseason games. The veteran big man is expected to be a depth option off the bench and will likely be the third- or fourth-string center, with Dario Saric and Zeke Nnaji competing for the backup role behind Nikola Jokic.

Jordan did not play during Sunday's preseason game against the Suns. Jordan got a second consecutive game off, which isn't surprising as the team continues to monitor the play of Dario Saric and Zeke Nnaji in the role of backup center. Jordan (rest) won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Celtics in Abu Dhabi, Bennett Durando of The Denver Post reports. Jordan had limited run in Denver's preseason opener Friday, and he will take Sunday off. Jordan's absence will allow coach Mike Malone a more extended look at Zeke Nnaji and Dario Saric behind Nikola Jokic. Jordan's next opportunity to play will come in next Sunday's exhibition versus the Suns.
To re-sign with Denver
Jordan is expected to re-sign with the Nuggets on a one-year, $3.6 million deal, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports. Jordan will bring veteran leadership to the locker room in Denver while also providing some relief minutes for Nikola Jokic at center. During the 2023-24 season, Jordan made 36 appearances with averages of 3.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.4 blocks.
Muted role again Tuesday
Jordan accumulated two rebounds in six minutes during Tuesday's 110-105 win over the Spurs. Jordan played just six minutes in the win, continuing to serve as nothing more than a depth piece. As long as Nikola Jokic is on the floor, Jordan has no fantasy value outside if situational streaming.
Starting against Portland
Jordan is in the starting lineup to face the Trail Blazers on Saturday. Jordan will get the starting nod at center due to the absence of Nikola Jokic (hip). Jordan has made just one start this season for the Nuggets, and he hasn't made much of an impact overall. In 30 appearances, he's averaging just 4.0 points and 4.4 rebounds across 11.2 minutes per game.
