Harden closed with 24 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 10-10 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Thursday's 118-95 win over Dallas. Even though Norman Powell led the Clippers in scoring once again, Harden made his presence felt as a facilitator while also chipping in with at least two tallies in five of the six major categories. Harden has had some scoring exploits from time to time, but even if he doesn't rely solely on his scoring prowess to provide fantasy value, he remains a key component of the Clippers' offensive scheme. Harden has surpassed the 20-point mark in six of his last eight appearances.

James Harden Latest News
Solid two-way play Thursday
Explodes for 41 points in win
Harden closed Monday's 144-107 win over Utah with 41 points (11-17 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 12-14 FT), one rebound, six assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes. Harden was nearly unstoppable in the first half and finished with 34 points, his most in any non-Rockets half in his career, and it was the first time he reached that mark since the 2019-20 season. He barely played in the second half due to the nature of the game, but the veteran guard continues to show he can carry the team on offense if needed. Perhaps more importantly, Harden bounced back from a 15-point effort against the Nuggets on Dec. 13, and he should remain the Clippers' go-to option on offense as long as Kawhi Leonard (knee) remains sidelined.
Poor shooting display Friday
Harden finished Friday's 120-98 loss to the Nuggets with 15 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals over 31 minutes. Harden returned from a one-game absence Friday, but he struggled with his shot once again. It's only been two games, so fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned with the slight regression he's experiencing, but Harden is averaging 20.5 points per game while shooting a meager 35.4 percent from the floor since the beginning of December. Those numbers would be even more concerning if we remove the 39-point effort he notched in the Dec. 1 win over the Nuggets. Harden's role as the Clippers' go-to option on offense won't change any time soon, but his lack of efficiency and subpar shooting percentages are slightly concerning, particularly in category-based formats.
Cleared for Friday
Harden (groin) will play Friday against the Nuggets, Joey Linn of SI.com reports. Harden was a full go at practice Tuesday after missing Sunday's matchup due to groin soreness, and the issue won't force him to miss any additional time. He shouldn't be on any type of restriction Friday in Denver.
Fully practices Tuesday
Coach Tyronn Lue said Harden (groin) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Harden missed his first game of the season Sunday against the Rockets due to right groin soreness, but it looks like the absence was precautionary. The Clippers don't play again until Friday in Denver, but Harden is on track to suit up for that contest.
Won't go Sunday
Harden (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports. Harden was initially tagged as questionable due to right groin soreness, and the team has since announced that he won't be able to suit up Sunday. Expect Kevin Porter and Bones Hyland to see an uptick in minutes at point guard in Harden's absence.
Questionable to play Sunday
Harden is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rockets due to right groin soreness, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports. Harden is coming off his worst outing of the 2024-25 season, notching five points, three rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes. It's unclear if this injury was related to this marked drop in performance compared to recent games, but the Clippers aren't expected to take too many risks with their star guard since they're already missing Kawhi Leonard (knee). If Harden is out, then Norman Powell would probably have an even bigger role on offense, while Kevin Porter, Bones Hyland and Amir Coffey are all expected to see more minutes.
Worst game of season Tuesday
Harden registered five points (1-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 108-80 loss to the Timberwolves. Harden had not only his worst performance of the season, but perhaps one of his worst outings in recent memory in this loss Wednesday, particularly from a shooting perspective. Harden has managed to remain productive throughout the campaign while shouldering a bigger-than-expected load on offense, but the lack of efficiency is a worrying trend. Over his last 10 games, Harden is shooting just 37.7 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep.
Scores 23 points with seven assists
Harden recorded 23 points (6-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-9 FT), one rebound, seven assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 127-105 win over the Trail Blazers. Harden struggled with this shot in this one, at least compared to what he'd been doing in the last few games, but fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned with his lack of efficiency as long as he continues to put up numbers across the board. Harden has scored at least 20 points while dishing out at least seven assists in six of his last seven games, averaging 27.0 points, 8.9 dimes, 5.1 boards and 2.0 steals per game in that stretch.
