Champagnie will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Rockets. The 23-year-old will slide to the bench in favor of Kyshawn George on Tuesday. Champagnie has started in each of his last 13 appearances, during which he has averaged 12.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 29.2 minutes per contest.

Slides to bench vs. Houston
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Efficient performance Wednesday
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie produced 15 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 125-107 win over the Bulls. Champagnie remains a member of the first unit, and he made the most of his minutes Wednesday by delivering an excellent performance -- he missed just two of his eight shots across a 21-minute cameo and contributed on the defensive end. Champagnie has scored in double digits in just two of his last six outings, however, and with Kyle Kuzma playing off the bench now that he recovered from a rib injury, it wouldn't be surprising if the former Pittsburgh star moves back to a bench role sooner rather than later.
Sticking with first unit
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie will remain in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. Champagnie will maintain a hold on a spot with Washington's starting five for at least one more game, as Kyle Kuzma is still functioning from the second unit as the latter works his way back from a rib injury. Champagnie has averaged 12.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks in 30.2 minutes over 10 games as a starter this season, so he remains relevant to fantasy managers in most formats.
Remaining in starting lineup
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie is in the Wizards' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Knicks. Champagnie will remain in Washington's starting five Monday despite Kyle Kuzma returning from a 12-game absence due to a rib injury. Champagnie has started in each of the Wizards' last nine games, and over that span, he has averaged 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocks over 30.8 minutes per game.
Scores career-high 31 points
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie closed with 31 points (13-15 FG, 5-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals over 45 minutes during Saturday's 136-132 overtime loss to the Knicks. The Wizards were without two of their best scorers in this game in Kyle Kuzma (ribs) and Jordan Poole (hip), so some of the role players needed to step their game up. Champagnie not only came through for the Wizards, but the former Pittsburgh star recorded a career-best scoring output. To put things into perspective, Champaginie had scored 14 points combined over his previous three starts.
First career double-double
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie racked up 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals across 39 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 loss to the Celtics. Making his fourth straight start due to injuries to injuries to Kyle Kuzma (ribs) and Kyshawn George (ankle), Champagnie produced his first career double-double and just the second game of his career with 10-plus boards. The 23-year-old forward is averaging 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 1.8 threes, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks during his stint in the starting five while shooting 55.1 percent from the floor. He may be playing well enough to hang onto a spot in the Wizards' rotation even after the roster gets healthier.
Plays well again
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie ended with 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt), eight rebounds and five steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 loss to the Grizzlies. This strong line comes on the heels of a 23-point showing Saturday against Denver, so Champagnie naturally has the attention of fantasy managers. The Wizards have several key players nursing injuries, but they could get some reinforcements back for their next game Friday against the Cavaliers. Champagnie will certainly be on the streaming radar as long as the team is shorthanded.
Emerges with career-high 23 points
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie logged 23 points (9-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Saturday's 122-113 victory over the Nuggets. In his first NBA start of the season after spending time in the G League, Champagnie emerged with a career-high 23 points while filling up the box score. It was also just his fourth appearance with the Wizards this season. Head coach Brian Keefe has shuffled his starting lineup around quite a bit lately, so it remains unknown if Champagnie will hold down a spot with the first unit going forward. Fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach before adding the 23-year-old forward from waiver wires, however, as it needs to be noted that Washington was missing Kyle Kuzma (rib), Alex Sarr (back) and Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) on Saturday.
First start of season Saturday
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/washington-wizards-logo.png?w=150)
Champagnie is in the Wizards' starting five for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. Champagnie will make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Saturday due to injuries to Kyle Kuzma (ribs), Corey Kispert (ankle), Kyshawn George (ankle) and Alex Sarr (back). Champagnie only played five minutes off the bench over his first two outings, but he played 29 minutes off the bench against the Mavericks on Thursday and finished with nine points, five rebounds and three assists.
