Kleber provided zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds in 10 minutes during Tuesday's 121-116 victory over Memphis. Kleber was limited to just 10 minutes, the fewest he has played in more than a week. A couple of injuries to other players in recent times had opened up some additional playing time for Kleber. Unfortunately, he failed to make the most of the opportunity, scoring a total of just 10 points in the past seven games. As long as the frontcourt is relatively healthy, Kleber is unlikely to be a difference-maker moving forward.

Maxi Kleber Latest News
Just 10 minutes in win
Kleber provided zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds in 10 minutes during Tuesday's 121-116 victory over Memphis. Kleber was limited to just 10 minutes, the fewest he has played in more than a week. A couple of injuries to other players in recent times had opened up some additional playing time for Kleber. Unfortunately, he failed to make the most of the opportunity, scoring a total of just 10 points in the past seven games. As long as the frontcourt is relatively healthy, Kleber is unlikely to be a difference-maker moving forward.
Back to bench Sunday
Kleber will come off the bench during Sunday's game against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Kleber started the last two games as a result of P.J. Washington's absence due to knee injury, but he will shift back to a bench role Sunday. Kleber holds averages of 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per game across four appearances this season.
Gets 17 minutes in start
Kleber (hamstring) started at power forward and produced three points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) in 17 minutes in Thursday's 115-113 loss to the Jazz. Kleber had missed seven straight games with a hamstring strain before being cleared for action last Sunday. He hadn't gotten off the bench in either of the Mavericks' previous two contests in coach's decisions, but Kleber entered the starting five Thursday while Naji Marshall moved back to the bench after starting in the prior four contests. Marshall still saw significantly more playing time (34 minutes) than Kleber, who could find himself back outside of the rotation when P.J. Washington (knee) and/or Kyrie Irving (shoulder) are available again after both sat out Thursday.
Receives spot start vs. Jazz
Kleber will enter the starting lineup in Thursday's game against the Jazz, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Despite Naji Marshall filling in as the starting power forward in P.J. Washington's (knee) absence thus far, Kleber will get the spot start and play for the first time since Oct. 26. The big man has appeared in only two regular-season games this year due mainly to a right hamstring strain, and he averaged 2.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 15.5 minutes per game.
Will play Sunday
Kleber (hamstring) will play during Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Kleber was deemed doubtful ahead of Sunday's contest, but he will shed his injury designation and suit up. Kleber could find himself in a significant role due to Dereck Lively (shoulder) and P.J. Washington (knee) being out of the lineup.
Deemed doubtful for Sunday
Kleber (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Nuggets, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports. Kleber is expected to remain sidelined for his eighth straight contest due to a strained right hamstring. With P.J. Washington (knee) and Dereck Lively (shoulder) also doubtful, Naji Marshall and Dwight Powell should receive increased playing time in Dallas' frontcourt.
Ruled out vs. Suns on Friday
Kleber (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Suns. Kleber will miss his seventh consecutive game due to a right hamstring strain. The big man was deemed doubtful before being ruled out, and his next chance to suit up will come Sunday versus Denver. With P.J. Washington also ruled out, Naji Marshall and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are both candidates for an uptick in playing time.
Upgraded to doubtful for Friday
Kleber (hamstring) has been upgraded to doubtful for Friday's contest against Phoenix, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports. Kleber has not played since October 26 due to his hamstring injury, but being upgraded to doubtful is an encouraging sign that he may make his return soon. With P.J. Washington (knee) also out, Naji Marshall and Olivier-Maxence Prosper will see extended playing time until one of Kleber or Washington returns.
Remains out Wednesday
Kleber (hamstring) is out for Wednesday's game against Chicago. Kleber played off the bench in the first two games of the season and hasn't been able to step on the hardwood since. The big man doesn't have a clear timetable for his return.
