Siakam agreed Wednesday with the Pacers on a four-year, $189.5 million maximum contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Siakam plans to officially sign the contract once the free agency moratorium ends July 6. After coming over from Toronto in Jan. 17 trade, Siakam proved to be an ideal fit in the Pacers frontcourt and was instrumental in helping lead Indiana to an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals. Over his 41 regular-season appearances with the Pacers following the trade, Siakam averaged 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 31.8 minutes per contest while shooting 54.9 percent from the field.

Pascal Siakam Latest News
Stays in Indiana on four-year deal
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Expected to remain with Pacers
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam and the Pacers are nearing an agreement on a long-term contract extension, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports. Both sides are motivated to get a deal done after Siakam had a successful first season in Indiana. The terms of the proposed deal aren't known yet, but Siakam is likely getting a maximum deal or close to it. In 41 appearances for the Pacers, Siakam posted averages of 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 three-pointers on 54.9 percent shooting from the field.
Double-doubles in playoff exit
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam posted 19 points (8-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists over 39 minutes during Monday's 105-102 loss to Boston in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Siakam did what he could to avoid the elimination and the sweep, but the Pacers didn't have a realistic chance to complete the comeback without Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) leading the offense. Despite the woes the team had in the series, Siakam was productive, scoring at least 20 points in all but one of the four games and posting two double-doubles in that span.
Leads Pacers in scoring Thursday
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam registered 28 points (13-17 FG, 2-2 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 loss to the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Siakam was Indiana's best player by a wide margin, as he missed just four of his 17 shots and also made his presence felt on the glass in a game during which the Pacers looked outmatched in terms of physicality and intensity. Siakam should remain one of Indiana's primary offensive weapons in Game 3, and he would be in line for an even more prominent role if Tyrese Haliburton (leg) doesn't play Saturday.
Nearly triple-doubles
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam contributed 24 points (12-23 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 12 rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 42 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime loss to Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. This was one of the best games of the postseason for Siakam, and he's now scored at least 20 points in four straight outings. He's had quite an impact in these playoffs, posting averages of 21.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
Scores 22 points in Game 5
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam notched 22 points (7-for-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal over 33 minutes in Tuesday's 121-91 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Siakam was the only Pacer to score 20-plus points in Game 5 on Tuesday, and he was the second-leading scorer for the game behind Jalen Brunson. Siakam managed to reach 20-plus points for the second time in three games, and he got some of those from the charity stripe after not attempting a single free throw in Game 4. Siakam is averaging 19.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Goes for 26 points in Game 3 win
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam logged 26 points (9-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 111-106 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Siakam was remarkably efficient during Friday's win, and even though Tyrese Haliburton grabbed most of the headlines with his 35-point effort, Siakam's impact on offense can't be overlooked. The star big man could be in line for another solid showing in Game 4 of the series Sunday, as the Knicks are extremely depleted in the frontcourt while missing key defensive contributors such as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring).
Well-rounded showing in Game 4
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam notched 13 points (6-14 FG< 0-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block over 40 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Siakam has been outstanding for Indiana all series against Milwaukee, posting a well-rounded performance in Sunday's Game 4 while helping the Pacers take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Siakam struggled shooting a bit from the field, but he still reached double figures in scoring while ending one rebound and three assists short of a triple-double. Siakam has tallied at least 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in two games this series, and we should expect him to continue to shine for Indiana in a potential series-clinching Game 5 in Milwaukee.
Double-double onslaught continues
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/indiana-pacers-logo.png?w=150)
Siakam closed with 37 points (16-23 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds and six assists over 37 minutes during Tuesday's 125-108 win over Milwaukee in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The last player to open a postseason with two 35-point, 10-rebound performances was Wilt Chamberlain, which gives you an idea of how rare Siakam's run of production is in the playoffs. Siakam was the unquestioned offensive engine for the Pacers, shooting a deadly 69.5 percent from the floor while adding 11 rebounds. If Giannis Antetokounmpo's (calf) absence continues, Siakam should be able to exploit the Bucks and keep his double-double streak intact.
