Hachimura is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Kings due to a left tibial contusion, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. It's unclear when Hachimura suffered the injury, but the probable tag suggests the forward should be able to suit up Saturday while handling his regular workload. Hachimura has been a bright spot for the Lakers on late, averaging 12.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game across eight outings in December.

Deemed probable for Saturday
Hachimura is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Kings due to a left tibial contusion, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. It's unclear when Hachimura suffered the injury, but the probable tag suggests the forward should be able to suit up Saturday while handling his regular workload. Hachimura has been a bright spot for the Lakers on late, averaging 12.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game across eight outings in December.
Excellent in win Sunday
Hachimura chipped in 23 points (9-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals across 39 minutes during Sunday's 107-98 win over the Trail Blazers. Hachimura posted season-high marks in points and steals. Firmly entrenched in a starting role this season, Hachimura is trending in the right direction after scoring in double digits in his last five outings. He's averaged 14.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 assists per game in that span.
Productive at both ends Friday
Hachimura posted 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 41 minutes during Friday's 134-132 overtime loss to Atlanta. It was the first time this season Hachimura produced multiple steals and blocks in the same game, and the 26-year-old forward fell one board shy of his second double-double. Hachimura has been a useful complementary player for the Lakers since his late November return from an ankle injury, averaging 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks over eight starts while shooting 60.0 percent from the floor.
Logs 13 points in win
Hachimura finished Sunday's 105-104 win over the Jazz with 13 points (5-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 40 minutes. Hachimura is slowly working his way back into the groove, although he's yet to post numbers that reflect results prior to his four-game absence. He logged 40 minutes during Sunday's win and should be provided every opportunity to get back on track, though it may take another game or two to see more customary numbers.
Struggles in loss
Hachimura amassed seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 127-100 loss to the Suns. Hachimura's two games since his return have fallen short of expectations. A return to his customary production may require some patience, as his ankle injury might still be a lingering issue. the Lakers went 3-1 during his absence, so the team can certainly afford to give him some additional days for rest and injury management.
Posts 10 points in return
Hachimura (ankle) scored 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and added three assists, two rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes in Saturday's 127-102 loss to the Nuggets. In his return from a five-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, Hachimura took back his spot in the starting five, with rookie Dalton Knecht moving to the bench as a result. Though Knecht (28 minutes) still outpaced him in playing time, the blowout nature of the game may have played a factor in Hachimura's lower minutes total. Prior to Saturday, Hachimura had been averaging 33.9 minutes per game over his 10 appearances on the season, so expect his playing time to pick up a bit as he becomes further removed from the ankle sprain.
Back in starting lineup
Hachimura is in the Lakers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports. After missing the Lakers' last four games due to a left ankle sprain, Hachimura will return Saturday and supplant rookie Dalton Knecht from the starting lineup. Prior to the injury, Hachimura averaged 12.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 33.9 minutes per game.
Returning Saturday
Hachimura (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Mark Medina of NBA.com reports. Hachimura has missed the Lakers' last four games due to a sprained right ankle, but he will suit up Saturday. It's unclear whether Hachimura will come off the bench or supplant Cam Reddish or rookie Dalton Knecht in the Lakers' starting lineup.
Out Thursday
Hachimura (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. Hachimura will miss his fourth consecutive matchup due to a sprained right ankle. With the 26-year-old forward out, Dalton Knecht will continue to receive the starting nod.
