Hurricane Sandy tonight ripped the facade off a building in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, leaving apartments exposed to the world as if in a giant dollhouse.
DNAinfo reports that emergency personnel responded around 6:30 p.m. to the four-story building at 92 8th Avenue near 14th Street.

The dramatic destruction in Chelsea — home to the post-divorce Katie Holmes — comes after an afternoon crane collapse at the so-called global billionaires’ club in Midtown Manhattan.
