State Department Yanks Jill Kelley’s Diplomatic License Plate

As we reported to you here last week, Tampa socialite Jill Kelley has fallen down the social rung just a little more as she has lost her status as “honorary consul” from South Korea.

Now, by way of confirmation, the U.S. Department of State has told the DMV that Kelley no longer has the right to perform hit-and-runs and claim diplomatic immunity, her “honorary consul” license plates are being taken away.

Awww.

The DMV spokeswoman Courtney Heidelberg said in a statement:

We received word from the U.S. Department of State that her status” as an honorary consul for South Korea “has been terminated, we will be recalling her honorary license plate. We will probably send a letter to her in the next couple of days.”

Shockingly the DMV, of all places, are going to be slow to do something.

Kelley has already lost her access to MacDill airbase, as her classification as a member of the “Friends of MacDill” was put on hold earlier this month.

It was Kelley who first reported the emails she was sent by Paula Broadwell, that inadvertently revealed the affair Broadwell was having with disgraced former head of the CIA David Petraeus.
