Man Found Dead on NYC Subway Tracks — L Train Delayed

Riders of the L Train in New York City faced major rush-hour delays this morning as cops investigated a man found dead on the tracks at the First Avenue subway stop.

The Daily News reports:

The body of the unidentified man was found after a westbound L train pulled into the station at First Ave. and E. 14th St. about 7:15 a.m., officials said.

At the Bedford L stop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, one stop away, the PA system announced that trains were not running into Manhattan due to an “investigation” at First Avenue. Throngs of commuters poured out onto the street and struggled to find alternate transportation.

According to AllmediaNY, train service has been restored.

This comes a week after a high-profile subway-push killing that made national headlines.
