Ridgefield, Conn., Schools Locked Down on Report of Man With Rifle

Schools in Ridgefield, Connecticut, just 20 miles from Friday’s Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, were on lockdown this morning after a report of a man with a rifle. Ridgefield Press reports:

Police from more than a half dozen towns have converged on Branchville after a woman called Wilton Police, reporting she saw a man carrying what looked like a rifle on Portland Avenue, Georgetown, just south of the Branchville Station.
