Finally, the week we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! It is TORNADO WEEK, everybody, so get ready to celebrate houses being lost, people being killed, cows flying around, and all sorts of awesome mass destruction. Yes, Tornado Week is real, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

1. Tornado Week Begins Today!
Tune in to the Weather Channel all week to catch tons of tornado-themed programing.
2. Interns Are Weathering a Twitter-Powered Tornado
For every mention of #TornadoWeek, the interns at the Weather Channel get blasted with more and more wind. If they reach 1,000,000 tweets, they’ll recreate a full EF-5 tornado in the office.
3. The Weather Channel is Airing Two New Specials
A brand new special called Tornado 360 premieres tonight at 9 p.m., investigating the tornado super cell that formed over Little Rock, Arkansas, and caused more than $11 billion in damage. On Wednesday night, The Truth About Twisters will debut, dispelling all the myths about tornadoes.

4. It is the Weather Channel’s Most Popular Event
Like Discovery Channel’s gold mine Shark Week, Tornado Week cashes in on people’s mix of fascination with and fear of tornadoes by dedicating a week to the Mother Nature’s literal interpretation of the phrase “sh*tstorm.”
5. Regular Programming Will Be Tornado-Themed
This week, afternoons from 2 to 5 p.m. and nights from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. will see blocks of tornado-themed episodes of Weather Channel favorites Storm Stories, Weather Caught On Camera, Storm Riders, When Weather Changed History, It Could Happen Tomorrow, Full Force Nature and Hacking the Planet.
6. There Are Tornadoes on All Platforms
In addition to the tornado craze on TV, tornado-centric programming will be featured on weather.com. Follow the hysteria in the Twitterverse, too.
