Lostprophets Lead Singer Guilty of Conspiring to Rape a Baby

The former-lead singer of EMO band Lostprophets, Ian Watkins, 36, pleaded guilty in court in the UK to a series of disgusting and horrific pedophilia charges, that include attempted rape and child porn, reports the BBC.

Watkins was first arrested in relation to the case in December 2012, he denied the charges initially claiming that he was the victims of sabotage campaign by a crazed fan.

He will be sentenced on December 18.

Watkins’ band, Lostprophets, were a hugely successful nu-metal, EMO, band from Wales in the UK. They sold 3.5 million albums worldwide. In addition to their success in the UK, they had also toured extensively in the US as part of the Vans Warped Tour, as recently as the summer of 2012.

After Watkins arrest, the band announced an indefinite hiatus before finally announcing their breakup in an October 2013 Facebook post that was signed by all member of the group except for Watkins.

1. Watkins Wanted to Rape an 11-Month-Old Child

Watkins has pleaded guilty to 13 sexual offenses, including two of attempted rape against an 11-month old baby. He is charged with two female co-defendants who have not been name, both women also pleaded guilty.


2. The Court Were Shown a Video of Him Sexually Assaulting a Child

In the court in Cardiff, Wales (where Watkins hails from) on November 26, a 17-minute long video was shown. If featured Watkins along with one of his co-defendants sexually assaulting a baby. E-mails recovered by police revealed that Watkins had emailed the woman in the video promising he would not go “easy” on the baby next time around.

The baby that Watkins’ pleaded guilty to planning to rape, is the child of one of his co-defendants. A downloaded Skype video was also shown in the court that showed Watkins encouraging the woman to abuse the baby while he masturbated.


3. Police Recovered Large Amounts of Child Porn From His Home

The password on one of Watkins’ home computers was “If*ckkids.”


4. Drugs Played a Role in the Abuse

Prosecutors have said that drugs played a “siginificant part in his offending against children.” During their searches of Watkins’ home, cops found cocaine, meth and GHB. As part of his plan to rape a baby, Watkins planned to blow meth smoke in the child’s face at a hotel in Cardiff, Wales.


5. He Raped a 16-Year-Old Fan of His Music

In 2006, the court was told that he met up with a 16-year-old girl after a concert in Boston. He flew the girl to New York where they went to a hotel after she agreed to lose her virginity to Watkins, Watkins made the girl dress like a school girl. During a videotaped encounter, Watkins asked her, “Do you like being my underage slut?”
