It’s no more than Costa Rica deserve. They outplayed Italy in the first half and showed much more attacking intent. As the great Barry Davies might say, Italy are behind “because they will not learn.”

Bryan Ruiz is still contracted at Fulham in the EPL (coming to a Championship stadium near you soon) but spent the end of last season at PSV in Holland on a loan deal.
