With the Green Bay Packers leading the New York Jets 31-24 with five minutes left, Jets quarterback Geno Smith hit Jeremy Kerley on a game-tying 36-yard touchdown pass with five minutes left. But Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg called a timeout before the play, voiding the touchdown.

Here’s the replay of what happened.

But head coaches are the only ones who are allowed to call timeouts.

Although the Jets picked up the first down on the next play, they eventually turned the ball over on downs. Green Bay was able to run out the clock and hold on for the win.

The called-back touchdown has set a frenzy on Twitter.
