This is the dramatic video showing Oakland firefighters putting out a blaze inside a tunnel. SF Gate reports that the fire broke out just before 7 a.m. on the morning of March 16.

It got started when the driver of a 2000 Ford Taurus rear ended another car in the tunnel to Orinda. It was the Taurus that burst into flames with passengers still inside. Thankfully, all were able to evacuate safely.

Firefighters from Oakland and Orinda battled the fire for nearly an hour. In addition, around 60 people from surrounding cars were all evacuated safely from the tunnel.
