It’s official, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle will return to television. VH1 has agreed to allow the show to continue to its sixth season after the network almost canceled it.
Apparently, VH1 decided not to renew the show. Their decision had nothing to do with the couple’s split, but everything to do with the fact that T.I. is too much to handle. The rapper is reportedly too difficult to work with, he is entirely too demanding and controlling. However, producers were able to convince the network that the drama of T.I. and Tiny’s relationship would rake in big ratings.
The couple also did not want their reality show to be canceled, so they agreed to share their relationship issues to keep it all going. The show has been on since 2011 and has lasted five seasons. The new season will focus on the aftermath of Tiny’s decision to file for divorce, viewers will get to see how the family chooses moves forward.
T.I. and Tiny have been separated for months, rumors began not too long after they gave birth to their last child, a daughter named Heiress who was born in March 2016. The couple continued to tell the public that the reports about their split were simply rumors. However, the truth came out when Tiny filed for divorce in December 2016, after six years of marriage. A divorce hearing was also scheduled, but it was canceled once it was discovered that Tiny never had T.I. served with the divorce papers.
As of now the couple are on speaking terms and seem to be working closer to resolve their issues. No word yet on if they’re back to living together, but they did spend Valentine’s Day together this year.
Together, T.I. and Tiny parent seven children, they share three out of the seven. Their eldest child, Zonnique, is Tiny’s daughter from a previous relationship; T.I. brings three children from previous relationships.
