WEATHER: Clear skies are expected throughout Oregon, though Oregon coastal areas may experience a few scattered clouds. For Madras, Oregon, there will be mainly sunny skies, as predicted by Weather.com. Between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m., temperatures are estimated to range from 68 to 73 degrees.

PATH WIDTH: 61.8 miles

TRAFFIC: Expect heavy traffic due to the estimated 1 million people traveling into the path of totality, which is a 60-mile-wide band though the middle of Oregon, as reported by Oregon Live. The LA Times reported that it’s been so busy in Madras, Oregon that the National Guard was called to assist. Traffic was reportedly at a stand-still for hours as the town is a small one, with a population of about 7,000 people. So, when over 100,000 come to town, there will clearly be an issue. Definitely beware of traffic heading to the airport after the eclipse.
