Jones took 18 carries for 67 yards while catching three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Seahawks. Jones had to work for his 93 combined yards from scrimmage Sunday, handling 23 total touches en route to modest fantasy numbers. The steady veteran failed to extend his scoring streak to five games, which is the only blemish on an otherwise quality outing. The 29-year-old is now up to 1,046 rushing yards through 15 starts as a Viking, giving him his fourth 1,000-yard season as a pro. Jones will get an opportunity to have a revenge game against the club that let him walk in free agency this past offseason, the Green Bay Packers, next Sunday.

Aaron Jones Latest News
Nets 93 yards Sunday
Gets into end zone Monday
Jones rushed 18 times for 86 yards and a touchdown and brought in two of three targets for 20 yards in the Vikings' 30-12 win over the Bears on Monday night. Jones fell short of his third 100-yard effort of 2024 and reaching the 1,000-yard mark on the season, but the veteran back still turned in a solid performance that included his fifth rushing touchdown of the campaign on a one-yard run late in the third quarter. The 30-year-old also extended his streak of games with multiple receptions to four, and his rushing yardage total was his second highest since Week 10. Jones appears to be refreshed down the stretch run as Minnesota continues to push for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and he'll look to capitalize on a favorable matchup against the Seahawks' run defense in a Week 16 road clash.
Full practice participant
Jones (back) was a full practice participant Friday. Listed as limited for Thursday's walkthrough, Jones managed an upgrade in short order and figures to handle his usual role Monday night against a Bears defense that he ripped for 129 total yards and a touchdown three weeks ago. He's yet to miss a game this season, despite averaging 18.0 touches per contest in his age-30 campaign.
Tending to back issue
Jones was limited at Thursday's walkthrough due to a back injury. Jones has been listed with hip, hamstring, chest and rib issues at various points this season, but he has yet to miss a game after averaging 2.7 absences per campaign in his seven seasons with the Packers. In the end, though, his status will be monitored in the coming days to ensure he'll be available Monday against the Bears.
Efficient rushing effort in win
Jones rushed 13 times for 73 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for 11 yards in the Vikings' 42-21 win over the Falcons on Sunday. A week after having issues with ball security, Jones turned in a clean performance that also featured his third performance of better than 70 rushing yards in the last five contests. Jones also recorded his second rushing touchdown in the last three games on a 15-yard run with 3:38 remaining to cap off the runaway win. The veteran back heads into a Week 15 home matchup against the Bears on Monday night, Dec. 16 now just 117 rushing yards away from the fourth 1,000-yard campaign of his career.
Overcomes early fumbles in win
Jones carries the ball only five times for 22 yards and caught three of four targets for six yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-22 win over the Cardinals. He also committed two fumbles, losing one. Two early fumbles, one of which Arizona recovered, parked Jones on the bench for much of the first half, and by the time he checked back into the huddle, Minnesota was staring at a big deficit. To his credit, Jones played a big role in the comeback, both with his pass protection and then by hauling in the game-winning score with just 1:13 left on the clock. Jones has put the ball on the carpet four times in the last three games though, an issue he will need to clean up if he doesn't want to lose more touches and snaps to Cam Akers and Ty Chandler in Week 14 against the Falcons.
Tops 100 yards on ground
Jones rushed the ball 22 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 overtime win over the Bears. He added three receptions on four targets for 23 yards. Jones returned to full practices for the first time since suffering an injury to his ribs in Week 10, and he bounced back from a poor Week 11 effort. He accounted for two of Minnesota's longest plays from scrimmage with rushes of 41 and 13 yards, with the former marking his most explosive run of the campaign. That led to Jones topping 100 rushing yards for the second time this season. His two-yard touchdown plunge late in the third quarter also marked his first trip to the end zone since Week 7. Jones' return to health also minimized Cam Akers' role in the offense, making Jones a reliable fantasy back moving forward.
Tough sledding Sunday
Jones took 15 carries for 39 yards while catching his only target for four yards in Sunday's 23-13 win over the Titans. Neither team could move the ball on the ground Sunday, resulting in rushing averages of 2.5 yards for Minnesota and 1.7 yards for Tennessee. Jones actually finished as the game's leading rusher despite his paltry output. Cam Akers (10-25-0) continues to cut into the starter's touches, even vulturing a receiving touchdown in this contest. Jones is the superior talent and should remain the preferred fantasy option out of the Vikings' backfield heading into next Sunday's matchup against the Bears.
Cleared for Week 11
Jones (ribs) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Tennessee, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. His availability isn't much of a surprise given that the returned to last week's 12-7 win at Jacksonville after he suffered the injury, taking four carries for 17 yards over the Vikings' final two drives. Jones will continue leading the Minnesota backfield, with Cam Akers subbing in for carries here and there.
