Jackson played in 14 games (five starts) during the regular season, tallying 28 tackles (18 solo), five defensed passes and one forced fumble. After spending the first three years of his Giants tenure as a starter, Jackson didn't get his first start of 2024 until Week 12. Overall, his 28 stops marked his lowest total in a season with the exception of 2020, when he was limited to just three games due to injury. Jackson signed a one-year contract with New York last August, and with the Giants opting to go mostly with younger cornerbacks this season, it seems likely that the veteran will depart for another organization in free agency.

Reverts to rotational role in 2024
Jackson played in 14 games (five starts) during the regular season, tallying 28 tackles (18 solo), five defensed passes and one forced fumble.
All set for Week 9 return
Jackson (neck) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's contest against the Commanders, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. Jackson is all geared up to return to the field in Week 9 after missing the last two games with a neck issue. The 29-year-old will be back in his role as a depth option behind Nick McCloud and Deonte Banks at cornerback versus Washington.
Ruled out for Week 8
The Giants announced Saturday that Jackson (neck) is ruled out for Monday's game against the Steelers, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Jackson will miss a second consecutive game due to his lingering neck injury. The depth cornerback's next chance to take the field will come Week 9 at home versus Washington on Nov. 3.
Won't play in Week 7
Jackson (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Jackson logged consecutive DNPs to end the Giants' week of practice after popping up on the team's injury report Thursday with a neck issue, so it's no surprise he won't suit up in Week 7. Expect Cor'Dale Flott to see increased work as the Giants' top rotational cornerback in Jackson's stead.
Suiting up
Jackson (calf) is active Sunday against the Seahawks, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson missed last week's loss to the Cowboys, but he was able to get back on the practice field this week, paving the way for him to suit up in Week 5. His ability to get back on the field should be a boost to the Giants' secondary.
Questionable for Week 5
Jackson (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against Seattle, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson missed last week's loss to the Cowboys and didn't participate in practice Wednesday before being upgraded to limited Thursday. Deonte Banks, Cor'Dale Flott and Nick McCloud handled cornerback duties in Week 4 and would do so again if Jackson and Dru Phillips (calf) are unable to play through questionable tags.
Raises activity level
Jackson (calf) was a limited participant during practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson missed the team's Week 4 loss to the Cowboys and sat out practice Wednesday. His return in any capacity Thursday may have him on the path to returning Sunday against Seattle. His practice level Friday could bring some further clarity on his chances to do so.
Sitting out Wednesday's practice
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Jackson (calf) will not practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson wasn't able to suit up Week 4 against the Giants on Thursday Night Football due to a calf issue, and even after getting a few days of extra rest he still isn't ready to practice. The veteran cornerback only has two more days to get back on the practice field prior to Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Cor'Dale Flott stands to continue playing an every-down role as long as Jackson remains sidelined.
Won't play Thursday night
Jackson (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson was held out of practice Wednesday after being estimated as a DNP on Monday, so it's no surprise that he won't be suiting up for Thursday night's divisional matchup with the Cowboys. Expect Cor'Dale Flott to see increased snaps in the Giants' secondary in Jackson's stead.
