Amari Cooper Latest News
Set for limited practice
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that Cooper (wrist) will be listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice, Ryan O'Halloran of The Buffalo News reports. While fellow wideout Keon Coleman (wrist) has already been ruled out for Week 11, Cooper's status for Sunday's game against the Chiefs has yet to be determined. He's missed the Bills' last two contests, but McDermott noted Monday that the veteran wideout has been improving, according to Maddy Glab of the team's official site.
Week 11 status TBD
Head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Cooper (wrist) is improving, and the Bills will see how this week goes before determining the wideout's status for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. While Cooper's Week 11 status is to be determined, McDermott has already confirmed that Keon Coleman (wrist) won't be available this weekend. Cooper has missed two straight games, and if the Bills elect to hold him out versus Kansas City, the wideout's next chance to play wouldn't arrive until Sunday, Dec. 1against the 49ers, with the Bills on bye Week 12.
Inactive Sunday
Cooper (wrist) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Since the Bills began their Week 9 prep, Cooper -- who was also inactive last weekend -- has logged six straight limited practices. With his second straight absence confirmed and Keon Coleman (wrist) having been previously ruled out, Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins and Curtis Samuel are in line to lead Buffalo's Week 10 wideout corps, with Jalen Virgil and Tyrell Shavers also available to mix in. Cooper's next chance to see game action will arrive Nov. 17 against the Chiefs.
Not slated to play Sunday
Cooper (wrist) is not in line to play Sunday against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Cooper is listed as questionable for the contest after practicing in a limited fashion this week. Official confirmation of his Week 10 status will arrive once the Bills' inactives are posted, but per Schefter, the wideout is slated to miss his second straight game.
Questionable for Week 10
Cooper (wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Indianapolis. Cooper followed the exact same practice regimen for a second week in a row -- he was limited on all three reports due to a wrist injury en route to a questionable designation. He subsequently was held out of this past Sunday's win against the Dolphins, so his status truly is up in the air for Week 10 action. With Keon Coleman (wrist) ruled out, Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins (shoulder) and Curtis Samuel (pectoral) are the healthy wide receivers on the Bills' active roster.
Set to remain limited
Cooper (wrist) will remain limited at practice Friday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. Cooper, who was inactive in Week 9, was also limited Wednesday and Thursday, which likely has him trending toward being listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. With Keon Coleman (wrist) already ruled out for the contest and Mack Hollins (shoulder) along with Curtis Samuel (pectoral) managing injuries, at this stage Khalil Shakir is the Bills' top healthy wideout.
Another limited listing
Cooper (wrist) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday. Cooper, who was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Dolphins, was also limited in Wednesday's walk-through, so he'll presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Colts without an injury designation. In addition to Cooper, three other Bills receivers -- Keon Coleman (wrist), Mack Hollins (shoulder) and Curtis Samuel (pectoral) -- are nursing injuries as Sunday's game nears.
Limited in practice
Cooper (wrist) was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice. Meanwhile, fellow wideout Keon Coleman (wrist) was held out of practice after getting hurt during a 30-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. Cooper was inactive for that contest but isn't expected to require a long-term absence, potentially setting him up for a return to the lineup this Sunday at Indianapolis.
In line to practice Wednesday
Cooper (wrist) is slated to practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. Cooper was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Dolphins, but the wideout's looming participation in practice Wednesday is a positive sign regarding his status for this weekend's game against the Colts. Meanwhile, fellow WR Keon Coleman is also dealing with a wrist injury and could miss some time. He's in line to sit out Wednesday's session.
