Samuel had four receptions (on seven targets) for 22 yards while losing one yard on his only rushing attempt in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Seattle. Samuel was blanketed by the Seahawks' athletic secondary with George Kittle (hamstring) inactive and Brandon Aiyuk (knee) done for the season. For reference, Samuel feasted on the Seahawks for 117 yards and a touchdown back in Week 6 when the receiving corps was at full strength. If Kittle is good to go for Week 12 after almost being able to suit up Sunday, then San Francisco's offense will look more like we have become accustomed to. Even if the star tight end doesn't play, fantasy managers are starting Samuel against the Packers next Sunday regardless.

Deebo Samuel Latest News
Shut down by Seahawks
Takes eight touches for 76 yards
Samuel (hip/oblique) corralled five of six targets for 62 yards and added 14 rushing yards on three attempts in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Buccaneers. Samuel used the 49ers' recent bye week to heal up from a pair of injuries sustained in a Week 8 win over Dallas on Oct. 27. The dual-threat superstar took eight touches for a combined 76 yards for fantasy managers Sunday. Assuming he escaped this contest unscathed, Samuel should continue to be a focal point on offense for San Francisco in a crucial NFC West battle against the Seahawks next Sunday.
Suiting up in Week 10
Samuel (rib/oblique) is active for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports. Samuel sustained oblique and rib strains in the 49ers' last game Sunday, Oct. 27 against the Cowboys, and following a Week 9 bye, he was able to string together three consecutive limited practices, receiving a questionable tag for Week 10 in the process. Overnight Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Samuel was expected to play Sunday, which has come to pass. Samuel will be welcoming back premier running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) for the first time this season, a scenario that may open up the entire offense for San Francisco. In seven appearances without McCaffrey this season, Samuel has averaged 6.7 touches for 67.4 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring two total TDs.
In line to suit up Sunday
Samuel, who is officially questionable for Sunday's Week 10 battle against the Buccaneers due to an oblique injury, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Samuel suffered rib and oblique strains Sunday, Oct. 27 against Dallas prior to San Francisco's Week 9 bye and logged a trio of limited practices this week. Despite the injuries, it appears that the wideout will be able to suit up against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Samuel has notched multiple carries out of the backfield in all but one of his seven contests this season, but he could be asked to do less in that regard given his injuries and Sunday's return of star running back Christian McCaffrey, who is expected to make his season debut after missing the team's first eight contests due to Achilles tendinitis.
Gets questionable designation
Samuel (oblique/rib) is questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports. Coming out of a Week 9 bye, Samuel was a limited practice participant the past few days but partook without a non-contact jersey Friday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Samuel seems more likely than not to play, but fantasy managers would still be wise to stay tuned and make sure Samuel's name isn't on the inactive list ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday. Fellow 49ers wideout Chris Conley (ankle) has been ruled out, while Jauan Jennings (hip) is set to return.
Another limited practice
Samuel (rib/oblique) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. For a second straight session to begin Week 10 prep, Samuel was donning a blue non-contact jersey, per Wagoner. The rib and oblique injuries stem from a Week 8 win against the Cowboys, so the 49ers' ensuing Week 9 bye hasn't allowed Samuel to get back to 100 percent just yet. In the end, though, Friday's practice report may clear up his status ahead of Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
To be limited Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Samuel (oblique/ribs) will be limited at Wednesday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. In the 49ers' last game Sunday, Oct. 27 versus the Cowboys, Samuel exited early with a rib injury, and Shanahan termed the wideout's health concerns rib and oblique strains one day later. With a Week 9 bye to rest up, Samuel will ease into Week 10 prep and have two more chances to log a full practice before potentially entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
Day to day with oblique/ribs issue
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Samuel has been diagnosed with rib and oblique strains and is day to day, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. The bye is coming at the right time for the 49ers, who have a laundry list of injuries and keep adding to it. Samuel was recovering from pneumonia last week and now will nurse these latest injuries over the course of the off week. It sounds like he's avoided anything serious, but there are unlikely to be any updates on Samuel until the 49ers return to practice next week.
Hurts ribs on SNF
Samuel (ribs) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Cowboys, 49ers team reporter Lindsey Pallares reports. Samuel had been playing effectively despite battling pneumonia over the week leading up to the game, but he injured his ribs in the second half. He caught four of seven targets for 71 yards while adding four rushing attempts for 15 yards prior to the injury. That production didn't include a 66-yard touchdown catch that was nullified by a holding penalty in the second quarter.
