Brooks (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's Week 11 tilt versus the Texans, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Brooks has been inefficient as a pass catcher this season, hauling in just eight of 24 targets. He logged over half of the Cowboys' offensive snaps in each of the team's past four games but won't take the field Monday. Brooks' inactive status coincides with the team debut of Jonathan Mingo, who was acquired in a trade with Carolina on Nov. 5.

Not suiting up for MNF
Brooks (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday's Week 11 tilt versus the Texans, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Brooks has been inefficient as a pass catcher this season, hauling in just eight of 24 targets. He logged over half of the Cowboys' offensive snaps in each of the team's past four games but won't take the field Monday. Brooks' inactive status coincides with the team debut of Jonathan Mingo, who was acquired in a trade with Carolina on Nov. 5.
Catches one pass in loss
Brooks caught one of four targets for four yards in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Eagles. Brooks was held in check Sunday, catching only one pass for the sixth time this season. The second-year wideout has recorded multiple receptions just once this season, when he caught two passes for 26 yards in Week 9. Through nine games, Brooks has totaled just eight grabs for 107 scoreless yards. The 24-year-old should remain an unreliable option for fantasy purposes, especially with the Cowboys turning to Cooper Rush at quarterback with Dak Prescott (hamstring) undergoing season-ending surgery. The Cowboys will host the Texans in Week 11.
Season-high two catches Sunday
Brooks caught two of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. The second-year wideout saw five-plus targets for the second time in the last three games but once again failed to do much with the increased volume, although his two catches were a season high. Brooks remains an afterthought in the Cowboys' offense, but he could be pushed into a bigger role in Week 10 against the Eagles if CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) ends up missing time.
Targeted six times
Brooks caught one of six targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 47-9 loss to the Lions. Brooks saw a significant bump in his usage Sunday, playing 49 of the Cowboys' 69 offensive snaps, tied with CeeDee Lamb and behind Jalen Tolbert (64). His 71 percent snap share and six targets were both season highs for the second-year receiver. With that said, Brooks has yet to record more than one reception in any contest thus far. Even with teammate Brandin Cooks (knee) on IR, Brooks is very difficult to trust for fantasy purposes. The Cowboys now head into there Week 7 bye and will square off against the 49ers in Week 8.
Just one catch in Week 5
Brooks caught his only target for 10 yards in Sunday's win over the Steelers. Even with Brandin Cooks (knee) on IR, there wasn't much of a role for Brooks in the Cowboys' offense, as KaVontae Turpin moved into the No. 3 wideout role instead. Brooks has yet to catch more than one pass in a game this season, giving him very little fantasy appeal heading into a Week 6 clash with the Lions.
Active in Week 3
Brooks (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Ravens. The reserve wideout was limited in the last two practices of the week, but Brooks will be available to Dak Prescott as the No. 4 receiver behind the top trio of CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert. Brooks has played an unsurprisingly minor role thus far over the first two games, recording a 2-28 line on four targets.
Questionable versus Baltimore
Brooks (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Brooks was added to the injury report Thursday, getting in limited practice reps Thursday and Friday. His mid-week addition is an ominous sign for his Week 3 availability, but it sounds like Brooks' status will come down to Sunday morning. Brooks has two catches for 28 yards on four targets through two games and has played an increased role as the Cowboys' WR4 early on this season.
Pops up on injury report
Brooks (ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Brooks wasn't listed on the Cowboys' injury report Wednesday, but it appears the 2023 seventh-round pick is nursing an ankle injury. His practice participation Friday will provide clarity on his status for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Brooks has caught two passes (on four targets) for 28 yards across the first two games of the regular season.
One grab against New Orleans
Brooks caught one of three targets for 10 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints. The second-year wideout has caught exactly one pass in each of the Cowboys' first two games this season. While he's holding down a steady role in the offense, Brooks isn't likely to see significant volume as long as CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert are all healthy.
