Jennings had three receptions (five targets) for 27 yards in Thursday's 36-24 win over Seattle. Jennings saw the field for nearly half (49 percent) of San Francisco's offensive plays Thursday, a number which has mirrored his snap count this season aside from his standout performance against the Rams back in Week 3. Since that three-score game, the veteran slot man has produced just seven catches for 128 yards with no trips to the end zone over his last three contests. Jennings remains an option for those in deeper formats when the 49ers host the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Jauan Jennings Latest News
Gains 27 yards on TNF
Jennings had three receptions (five targets) for 27 yards in Thursday's 36-24 win over Seattle. Jennings saw the field for nearly half (49 percent) of San Francisco's offensive plays Thursday, a number which has mirrored his snap count this season aside from his standout performance against the Rams back in Week 3. Since that three-score game, the veteran slot man has produced just seven catches for 128 yards with no trips to the end zone over his last three contests. Jennings remains an option for those in deeper formats when the 49ers host the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Quiet game Sunday
Jennings had one reception on three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Cardinals. Jennings saw his usual allotment of snaps on offense (57 percent) but simply was not evolved enough to produce positive fantasy results. The veteran slot man goes through quiet spells from time to time, so his value shouldn't have changed much assuming managers weren't shooting for the moon. Jennings and the 49ers will travel to Seattle for Thursday Night Football in Week 6.
Leads team in receiving Sunday
Jennings turned three receptions (six targets) into 88 yards in Sunday's 30-13 victory over New England. Jennings failed to replicate last week's three-score performance for eager fantasy managers, but the veteran receiver still led the 49ers in targets and receiving yards, and that was with fellow starters Deebo Samuel (calf) and Brandon Aiyuk both active. San Francisco's slot man remains a hot play in fantasy while his role on offense remains enlarged sans Christian McCaffrey (calf/Achilles). The case can be made for Jennings to start in nearly any format, given his recent production and a favorable home matchup against Arizona on tap for Week 5.
Goes for three TDs
Jennings hauled in 11 of his 12 targets for 175 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Rams. Jennings filled in for a couple of injured 49ers receiving options Sunday, benefitting greatly from the promotion to deliver three scores and big-time receiving numbers for fantasy managers. San Francisco suffered the loss sans multiple superstars, but Jennings proved that he can elevate his game when called upon. The veteran slot man will undoubtedly be a hot waiver pickup ahead of Week 4 action in fantasy leagues in which he hasn't already been snapped up.
Nabs two receptions Sunday
Jennings (ankle) had two receptions on four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 23-17 loss to Minnesota. Jennings carried a questionable tag through the practice week after picking up an ankle injury in Week 1 against the Jets. The veteran slot receiver was cleared from the injury report prior to kickoff, producing a stereotypical receiving line for those in deep leagues. A healthy Jennings should make for a high-floor, low-ceiling fantasy option against the Rams on Sunday.
Cleared for Week 2
Jennings (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Jennings was listed with an ankle injury ahead of Week 1 and even made a brief exit from Monday's win over the Jets, but it didn't stop him from catching each of his five targets for a team-high 64 receiving yards. He played 47 percent of San Francisco's snaps on offense and ran a route on 56 percent of the pass plays, filling his usual role as the No. 3 receiver behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. It is possible Jennings benefits from a few extra snaps here and there if Samuel continues to get some work as a running back while Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) is out.
Limited again Thursday
Jennings (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. With back-to-back capped sessions under his belt following the ankle injury that he sustained in the season opener against the Jets, Jennings has only one more chance to get back to full before potentially heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest at Minnesota. Assuming he's active Week 2, he'll continue to serve as the 49ers' No. 3 WR behind starters Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.
Limited Wednesday
Jennings (ankle) will be limited at Wednesday's practice, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports. Jennings made a brief exit during Monday's win against the Jets, but he ultimately played 35 of 72 offensive snaps en route to five catches (on five targets) for 64 yards. The elevated target count may have been due to fellow WR Deebo Samuel getting more work in the backfield with Christian McCaffrey (calf/Achilles) sidelined. In any case, Jennings will join McCaffrey with a cap on his reps to kick off Week 2 prep, meaning the situation bears watching to see if the former will remain more involved Sunday in Minnesota, assuming he's active and the latter isn't.
Day-to-day with ankle injury
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan labeled Jennings (ankle) as day-to-day after Monday's 32-19 win over the Jets, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Jennings played 35 of the 49ers' 72 offensive snaps in the victory, recording five receptions for 64 yards on five targets. Per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Jennings was slow to get up after making a third-down reception early in the third quarter, and he was in the blue medical tent for the 49ers' ensuing possession before later checking back into the contest. Though Jennings was able to finish out the game, the receiver still looks to be less than 100 percent, so his practice activity could be limited leading up to Sunday's game against the Vikings.
