Pollard (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Pollard didn't practice at all last week due to the ankle injury before approaching this past Sunday's loss to the Colts listed as questionable. The running back was able to suit up for the contest, but he played a season-low 39 percent of the offensive snaps and carried eight times for 35 yards to go with two receptions for five yards on four targets. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, Pollard's lack of participation Wednesday could be maintenance-related.

Opens week as non-participant
Pollard (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Pollard didn't practice at all last week due to the ankle injury before approaching this past Sunday's loss to the Colts listed as questionable. The running back was able to suit up for the contest, but he played a season-low 39 percent of the offensive snaps and carried eight times for 35 yards to go with two receptions for five yards on four targets. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, Pollard's lack of participation Wednesday could be maintenance-related.
Loses work to Spears
Pollard rushed eight times for 35 yards and brought in two of four targets for five yards in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also had a two-point conversion rush. Pollard was ultimately the more efficient on the ground between him and backfield mate Tyjae Spears, but the latter recorded two rushing touchdowns while also logging two additional carries and one more target. Pollard did post a scoring run when he punched in a two-point conversion after Spears' first touchdown late in the third quarter, but he's now recorded under 50 rushing yards in five of the last seven games while also dealing with a nagging ankle injury. The division of labor in the Titans' backfield is an unwelcome open question for fantasy managers heading into championship weekend in many leagues, and Tennessee will visit the Jaguars next Sunday.
Ready to go for Week 16
Pollard (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts. As expected, Pollard is active after logging only a limited practice session Friday. He saw his snap count limited in Week 15 due to the same lingering ankle issue, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Tyjae Spears get more involved once again while Pollard receives more limited volume.
Trending toward playing Week 16
Pollard (ankle) is expected to play Sunday against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Pollard has played in every game for the Titans this season despite dealing with lingering foot and/or ankle injuries for over a month. The 27-year-old has been in and out of practice for much of this time period, and he did not practice Wednesday or Thursday before logging a limited session Friday. Pollard is still listed as questionable, so his official availability will be revealed 90 minutes prior to kickoff at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Questionable after another missed practice
Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after not practicing this week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Fortunately for those who would normally consider Pollard in fantasy lineups, the Titans kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, a scenario that would in most cases allow fantasy managers to turn to Week 16 pivot options if he's sidelined. If Pollard ends up limited or out versus Indianapolis, Tyjae Spears would be in line to see an expanded backfield role for Tennessee this weekend.
Misses practice Thursday
Pollard (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Pollard hasn't practiced much in recent weeks while managing foot and/or ankle injuries, but he's played in every game this season and finished with no fewer than 29 snaps or nine touches in any contest. There's some extra concern this week, however, as he aggravated his ankle during Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals and may thus be dealing with more discomfort relative to previous weeks. He returned to the game in short order but then took a back seat to Tyjae Spears in the fourth quarter when the Titans were chasing a multi-score deficit. In any case, a return to practice Friday presumably would put Pollard on track to play Sunday against Indianapolis.
Held out of practice
Pollard (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Pollard has played through foot and/or ankle injuries for the better part of two months, including last week when he was listed as questionable and then briefly left a 37-27 loss to the Bengals in the first half after aggravating his ankle. He returned to the game and took 10 more carries for 18 yards to finish with a 17-45-1 rushing line, but Tyjae Spears then dominated the playing time and touches in the fourth quarter with Tennessee trailing by multiple scores. Pollard is at some risk of either missing Sunday's game against the Colts or handling a lesser role than what he's been tasked with for most of the season.
Inconsistent showing against Cincy
Pollard rushed the ball 17 times for 45 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals. He was not targeted in the passing game. Pollard got off to a strong start, as he accounted for 22 yards and a touchdown on the Titans' opening possession. Things got rocky from there, however. In addition to briefly leaving the game due to ankle injury, Pollard also lost a fumble that should have been returned for a touchdown before Jordan Battle fumbled out of the end zone. Positively, Pollard remains the clear lead back and has shown the ability to excel on the ground despite the poor state of the Tennessee offense.
Returns to Sunday's game
Pollard (ankle) returned to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Pollard was managing an ankle issue ahead of Week 15 action, so it's possible that he aggravated the injury. However, he's back in the Titans' backfield mix after having previously exited Sunday's contest.
