The Panthers waived Brown (thumb) on Tuesday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Brown spent the first 15 weeks of the season on injured reserve after he was hurt during the preseason. The 31-year-old cornerback has 96 career games of experience after spending seven seasons in Dallas before one with San Francisco in 2023.
