The Titans waived Narveson on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Narveson missed his sole field-goal attempt and made both of his extra-point tries in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts on Sunday. This appeared to not be up to the team's standards, as the former Packers kicker will await a new opportunity. In the event that he clears waivers, he could end up on Tennessee's practice squad.

Parts ways with Tennessee
The Titans waived Narveson on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Narveson missed his sole field-goal attempt and made both of his extra-point tries in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts on Sunday. This appeared to not be up to the team's standards, as the former Packers kicker will await a new opportunity. In the event that he clears waivers, he could end up on Tennessee's practice squad.
Set for kicking duties
Narveson will be active as the Titans' kicker in the absence of Nick Folk (abdomen) Sunday against the Colts. Narveson was elevated from Tennessee's practice squad earlier in the week to serve as insurance for Folk. He served as the kicker in Green Bay earlier in the season and went just 12-for-17 on his field-goal attempts. Given Folk's consistency, Narveson is likely to be a downgrade at the position for Tennessee.
Signed by Titans off practice squad
Narveson was signed by Tennessee from the practice squad Saturday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. The decision to sign Narveson to the active roster rather than just elevate him from the practice squad may suggest the Titans anticipate having to use him Sunday against the Colts. Usual kicker Nick Folk (abdomen) is expected to be a game-time decision. A decision on Folk's status, and by extension Narveson's role or lack thereof, will come around 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Likely to be elevated Saturday
The Titans are expected to elevate Narveson from the practice Saturday to serve as an emergency option in case Nick Folk (abdomen) is inactive for Sunday's contest at Indianapolis, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Folk managed just one limited practice (Friday) this week and is listed as questionable due to an abdominal injury. Coach Brian Callahan told Turron Davenport of ESPN.com earlier Friday that Folk will be a game-time call, so the Titans' kicker for Week 16 likely will become known about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Narveson was signed to the practice squad Tuesday, which marked his first opportunity since handling kicking duties for the first six games of the season for the Packers. Overall, he was perfect on PATs (16-for-16) but erratic with field goals, connecting on only 12 of 17 attempts.
Joins Tennessee's practice squad
The Titans signed Narveson to the practice squad Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Narveson, who missed five of his 17 field-goal tries with Green Bay from Week 1 to Week 6, now gets a chance to continue his development in Tennessee. Garafolo notes that Nick Folk (undisclosed) is dealing with an injury, making Narveson a key insurance policy for the Titans as Sunday's game against the Bengals approaches.
Let go by Green Bay
Narveson was waived by the Packers on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. After missing five of his17 field goal attempts across the Packers first six games, Narveson has ultimately been let go by Green Bay. The team has opted to bring in veteran kicker Brandon McManus as his replacement. Narveson had missed at least one kick in four straight games prior to his release. He will now await a new opportunity.
Inconsistency continues
Narveson made two of three field-goal tries and all four extra points he attempted in Sunday's 34-13 victory over the Cardinals. Narveson converted six of his seven scoring opportunities on a wet and dreary day at Lambeau Field, which isn't too shabby for most kickers. However, he finished less than perfect for the fourth time in six appearances with the Packers and is now just 12-for-17 on field-goal attempts -- and he has not even attempted a kick from further than 49 yards. Green Bay has given no indication that they are considering a change at the kicker position, but Narveson's hold on the spot remains tenuous.
Makes all four attempts
Narveson made a 46-yard field goal and all three extra points he attempted in Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Rams. Narveson missed two field-goal attempts in a Week 4 loss to the Vikings and was seemingly standing on shaky ground afterward, but the Packers stuck with him for Week 5, and he responded by making all four kicks he put in the air. Narveson has slowed down since putting at least 10 points on the board in his first three appearances of the season, but he will have a chance to get going again in Week 6 against a Cardinals team that allowed opposing kickers to rack up five field goals and six extra points over its last two contests.
Misses two more kicks
Narveson missed two field-goal attempts and made all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Vikings. Narveson was errant from both 37 and 49 yards out, and those misfires proved costly in a game that was decided by only two points. He has made all nine of his extra-point tries this season, but he is now just nine of 13 when trying to put three points on the board -- and he had another miss wiped out by a penalty. Head coach Matt LaFleur, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, said following Sunday's game that he has "a lot of confidence" in Narveson, but the door is open for a kicking change in Green Bay.
