Bowers finished with three receptions (on six targets) for 35 yards in Monday's 15-9 loss to the Falcons. Bowers saw his usage suppressed for the second week in a row, also finishing below 50 yards receiving for the third time in four contests. Backup tight end Michael Mayer (1-11-0) didn't cut into the starter's workload like we saw Week 14, so the low usage was a result of the Raiders' game plan against Atlanta. Despite his recent dry spell, Bowers is a tremendous talent who is worth starting Week 16 against Jacksonville on Sunday.

Brock Bowers Latest News
Another quiet game Monday
Bowers finished with three receptions (on six targets) for 35 yards in Monday's 15-9 loss to the Falcons. Bowers saw his usage suppressed for the second week in a row, also finishing below 50 yards receiving for the third time in four contests. Backup tight end Michael Mayer (1-11-0) didn't cut into the starter's workload like we saw Week 14, so the low usage was a result of the Raiders' game plan against Atlanta. Despite his recent dry spell, Bowers is a tremendous talent who is worth starting Week 16 against Jacksonville on Sunday.
Underwhelming numbers in loss
Bowers brought in three of five targets for 49 yards in the Raiders' 28-13 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also rushed once for three yards. Bowers came into the game with a pair of 100-yard tallies in the previous three contests and was facing a defense that had been vulnerable to tight ends all season. However, Bowers was largely contained by the Buccaneers, with fellow tight end Michael Mayer doing the majority of the damage at the position with a 7-68 line on nine targets. Bowers did turn in a 25-yard catch, and his final reception of the day, a 12-yard grab with 27 seconds remaining, vaulted him into the record books for most receptions by a rookie tight end (87). Bowers next takes aim at the vulnerable Falcons defense in a Week 15 home matchup Monday night, Dec. 16.
Dominant performance in loss
Bowers secured 10 of 14 targets for 140 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 19-17 loss to the Chiefs on Friday. He also rushed once for two yards. Bowers led the Raiders across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, with the middle total also serving as a new career high. The performance served as Bowers' second 100-yard game and third with double-digit receptions, and the rookie first-round pick added his fourth touchdown catch of the campaign on a 33-yard grab late in the third quarter. Bowers also made a clutch 25-yard reception on Las Vegas' final drive, and he carries an immense fantasy ceiling in all formats heading into a Week 14 road matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Quiet in Sunday's loss
Bowers caught four of 10 targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos. While the rookie tight end saw double-digit targets for the second straight game and the fifth time this season, Bowers wasn't able to do much with the volume, posting his lowest yardage total since Week 4. Bowers' role in the Raiders' passing game is secure, but it's not clear who will be throwing him the ball in Week 13 against Kansas City -- Gardner Minshew (collarbone) was lost for the season Sunday, and Aidan O'Connell (thumb) may not be ready to come off IR.
Prolific production in loss
Bowers secured 13 of 16 targets for 126 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 34-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed once for minus-3 yards. Bowers set the pace across the board for the Raiders in all three components of his receiving line, with the trio of figures also serving as new career highs. Bowers now has double-digit target tallies and at least eight catches in four of his last six games, as he continues to serve as the clear-cut leader of the air attack following the trade of Davante Adams to the Jets. The star rookie should be set up for another busy afternoon in a Week 12 home AFC West clash against the Broncos next Sunday.
Scores late receiving TD
Bowers secured five of eight targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 41-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. Bowers had a quiet day for the most part despite the favorable matchup against a Bengals defense that had struggled against tight ends. However, he salvaged his fantasy day late with a 22-yard touchdown grab from Desmond Ridder with 41 seconds remaining, which served as only the second receiving score of his career. Bowers will continue serving as one of the primary targets for either Gardner Minshew or Ridder in a Week 11 road matchup against the Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 17 following a Week 10 bye.
Modest Week 8 line
Bowers recorded five receptions on five targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. Bowers made the most of his opportunity in Sunday's loss, as three of his five catches went for double-digit yards. However, he saw his lowest target total since Week 4, as Gardner Minshew distributed targets fairly evenly among the Raiders' skill-position players. Lack of volume isn't likely to be a concern often moving forward, as Minshew has looked to Bowers increasingly as the season has progressed.
Ten catches in Week 7 loss
Bowers caught 10 of 14 targets for 93 yards in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Rams. Bowers continues to lead all NFL tight ends in receiving yards, with 477 through seven games, and he's the clear No. 1 target in the Raiders' passing game following Tuesday's trade of Davante Adams to the Jets. Despite finding success regardless of whether Vegas deploys Aidan O'Connell -- who exited in the first half Sunday due to a thumb injury -- or Gardner Minshew under center, the rookie first-round pick has been held back by the lack of talent around him, as Bowers has just one touchdown, and his first end-zone target of the season came in the fourth quarter against the Rams. Bowers has a juicy Week 8 matchup coming up against a Kansas City defense that has allowed the most yards in the league to tight ends.
Double-digit targets again
Bowers recorded nine receptions on 10 targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers. With both Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle) sidelined, Bowers was able to serve as the Raiders' top pass catcher for the second consecutive week. Aidan O'Connell was hesitant to push the ball down the field, leaving Bowers to do the majority of his damage after the catch. While his stat line is impressive enough, he also served as the lead blocker on Alexander Mattison's touchdown run in the first quarter and had a one-handed catch wiped away by a penalty. Even once Meyers and potentially Adams return to the offense, Bowers has shown enough to maintain a significant role.
