Good to go for Week 16
Edoga (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's battle against the Buccaneers, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. Edoga exited early from last Sunday's win over the Panthers due to an ankle injury. He began this week as a DNP but was able to log a limited practice Thursday before being estimated as a full participant in Friday's walkthrough. Edoga started each of the Cowboys' past two contests at left tackle over Tyler Guyton.
Questionable to return Sunday
Edoga (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Panthers, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports. Edoga didn't make his 2024 debut until late November due to a toe injury. The offensive lineman has played in three games since returning, starting one.
Active for Week 12
Edoga (toe) is active for Sunday's game against Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Edoga opened the regular season on injured reserve due to a toe issue, but he will make his 2024 debut Sunday after logging full practices all week. With Zach Martin (ankle) and Tyler Smith (ankle) both ruled out, Edoga could be inserted into the starting lineup for Sunday's NFC East contest.
Comes off IR
Edoga (toe) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Zack Martin (ankle) is out Sunday against the Commanders and opposite starting guard Tyler Smith (ankle) is questionable, so Edoga could find himself shuffled into the starting lineup should the Cowboys suffer any more injuries to its offensive line.
Gets go-ahead to practice
Dallas designated Edoga (toe) for return to practice from its injured reserve list Wednesday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports. Edoga has been out since training camp due to a lingering toe issue, but he now appears to be approaching a return to action. The Cowboys will have 21 days to officially activate him before they'd have to put him back on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Officially placed on IR
Dallas placed Edoga (toe) on the reserve/injured list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Edoga injured his big toe in the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Rams. He'll now be forced to miss a minimum of four games, making Week 5 against the Steelers on Oct. 6 the earliest he can return. With Edoga on the shelf to begin the regular season, rookie first-round pick Tyler Guyton (knee) will start at left tackle and be tasked with protecting Dak Prescott's blindside.
Set to open season on IR
After sustaining a significant injury to his left big toe in Sunday's preseason game against the Rams, Edoga is expected to be placed on the Cowboys' reserve/injured list at the start of the regular season, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports. If Edoga goes on IR, he'll be forced to miss the first four games of the regular season, which puts his return date to Week 5 against Pittsburgh. With Edoga out of action, head coach Mike McCarthy relayed Tuesday that rookie first-rounder Tyler Guyton will work with the Cowboys' first-team offense at left tackle, per Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Done for day
Edoga has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's preseason game against the Rams due to a left foot injury, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. With Edoga done for the day, rookie first-round pick Tyler Guyton will take over at left tackle for the rest of Sunday's contest.
Able to play
Edoga will return to the field after leaving last Sunday's win over the Rams early with the injury. However, with the return of Tyron Smith (neck), Edoga is expected to fill a reserve role on the team's offensive line this week.
