The Seahawks waived Williams on Thursday. Williams was let go in order to make room for waiver claim WR Jaelon Darden. Williams appeared in all 12 games for the Seahawks this season, mainly playing special teams. Williams, however, lost a fumble on a first-quarter kickoff return.
Williams (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Cardinals and is expected to play, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Williams was injured in last Sunday's win over the 49ers, but it clearly wasn't a long-term issue. The reserve cornerback has played four defensive snaps this season and another 119 on special teams.

The former defensive back caught just two passes for 10 yards at Tennessee in his first season as a receiver last year, but he did find a role as a punt and kick returner.
