The Jaguars released Mims on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. A second-round draft pick of the Jets in 2020, Mims boasts an intriguing size and speed profile but hasn't been able to translate it into meaningful success at the NFL level. The 26-year-old Mims hasn't seen NFL action since the 2022 season and could be running out of opportunities. He's now been cut by three organizations since the Jets traded him to the Lions last summer, with Detroit, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville having moved on from Mims without him having appeared in a regular-season game.
